Little Brown Bat

This is a naturally deceased bat mounted for an educational display at a Natural History Museum (UMMNH). This was a wonderful challenge, as the specimen was fairly delicate and partly deteriorated, so fur had to be patched in. It was also a challenge to get the wings to look soft and supple without drying out.

This mount was done at George Dante Studios under all the proper permits and safety precautions. It is not advisable to handle wild bats, and in many cases, they are protected.
