Surrealist Butterfly Dome

Inspired by Flordali II, part of a series of works by Salvador Dali with distinctive surrealist themes. The butterflies signify lightness, sexuality, evolution, harmony and metamorphosis. The rose represents enigma, this rose is handmade by me in wax and paper using traditional techniques. This piece was made in response to the violence faced by Trans women, especially Black Trans women, who unfairly suffer for something every human deserves-to live their truths. It is a reminder that we are not safe until everyone can live with ease, joy, levity, and pride. This work was raffled to fundraise for Trans Law Center.
